Paul is Managing Director of Intervallum Ltd — a provider of interim CFO / FD and NED services, and has worked within industry and commerce since 1983, and at CFO/finance director / board level since 1996. He has been a provider of interim CFO / FD services since 2004.
Paul has served the CIMA branch network since 1998, being North West Midlands Branch Chairman from 2003-2005, and 2012-2014, also West Midlands Area Chairman from 2015-2018. He was awarded the CIMA Plaque in February 2019.
Paul is currently the CIMA West Midlands Area Chairman, and Institute of Directors Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chairman, as well as being a non-executive director for B: Music Ltd (Birmingham Symphony Hall & Town Hall) and Lichfield Garrick Theatre. In 2021, he completed the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma.

Mustafa worked at BPP University for 20+ years and is currently a freelance trainer specialising in management accounting, financial management, and strategy.
He has been a CIMA Council Member since 2014, has chaired the CIMA Benevolent Fund Committee, and been the vice-chairman of the CIMA Membership Committee for the past four years where he leads a team of astute CIMA Council Members to make decisions which shape the future of AICPA & CIMA. Mustafa was also elected by Council as a Without-Portfolio member of the Appointments Committee from 2021-22.

Chantel has over 25 years of experience working in the corporate sector, and for the last six years at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Chantal has a wealth of experience in leading teams, focusing on growth, and developing business plans, along with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in client management and account planning, commercial strategies, governance, risk management, and compliance.
Richard Kenworthy, FCMA CGMA

Richard has worked for a wide range of companies in the North West of England, from various SMEs through an agricultural co-operative, and the Prison Service Agency, to a subsidiary of British Gas.
Richard has served as a charity trustee for his local church, also for SANDS – the UK charity which supports parents who have experienced the loss of a child through stillbirth or neonatal death, playing a major role in the charitable activities as well as the accounts and administration.
Richard has been employed by two other charities – More Music, and TeachBeyond UK where he was involved in the setting up of the TeachBeyond Global Centre in Horsham.
In 2008 he took his family to Hong Kong for 12 months and ended up staying for five years! During four of these years, he volunteered for Crossroads Foundation – a humanitarian aid charity, and latterly worked for The Vine Church before the family returned to the UK.
Richard has been very active in CIMA NW England and North Wales Area. He was a CIMA Council Member for nine years, including a period as chairman of the CIMA Benevolent Fund. He served as a CIMA Hong Kong Division President 2010/2011 and, he was the first chairman of the North Asia Regional Board 2011/2012.
Nick Haigh, ACMA CGMA

Nick is the Director — Financial Transactions & Process, at Marshalls plc — the UK’s leading hard landscaping, building, and roofing products supplier, which forms part of the FTSE 250.
Nick joined Marshalls in 2019 where he leads the firms transactional, banking and process finance teams, also leading their internal controls work.
Prior to Marshalls, Nick held senior finance roles in FTSE 100 companies across, FMCG, oil and gas, media, and consulting. He has experience in transformational change programmes including ERP implementations and process improvement, outsourcing and offshoring, business disposal, and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation.
Outside of work Nick has been an active member of the Learning, Education & Development Committee of the CIMA North West England & North Wales Area, for several years, having joined the Area Committee in 2022.
Edward Martley, FCMA CGMA

Edward started his career in the nuclear industry working at BNFL Risley, in Warrington. He began his accounting studies while working for CAP Group before moving to Barclays Bank Business Research where he helped develop risk assessment software tools for smaller companies. Edward qualified as ACMA and MBA while at UCB Home Loans.
Since 2003, he has been director of his own company, providing analysis and accounting services to a variety of clients working in the UK and overseas.
Derek Barnes, FCMA CGMA

Derek sits of the UK & Ireland Network Committee, having formerly been a CIMA Council Member, and the CIMA West Midlands Area Chairman.
Before retiring, he was finance director at the Heritage Motor Centre.
Karen Marrinan BSc, FCMA CGMA

Karen is an experienced and professional business development and finance director, who is accustomed to working at board level, with a proven track record spanning over 30 years.
She has a broad experience in both multi-national and small start-up companies, growing the start-ups to achieve private sale and flotation on the London Stock Exchange.
Karen is a strong team player, a completer/finisher, with outstanding commercial acumen and, the ability to think around problems and be creative.
Having graduated from Newcastle University, with a joint Degree in Mathematics and Psychology, Karen went on to study the CIMA professional qualification, achieving membership in the 80s.
Karen’s career has developed from management trainee at Unisys, through to finance director at United Computers Ltd, board director at Safetynet plc, and business development manager at 2e2 and Daisy, prior to her current role.
Currently working part-time in the charity sector, Karen finds that due to her expertise in many areas, boards turn to her when an important project must be evaluated and executed.
These include fund raising for Safetynet and Netstore, the sale of a company, building partnership programmes, winning, managing, and delivering valuable new business from government procurement frameworks or entering a new market. At Netstore Karen was a key player in the acquisition of QSP customers, by winning 27 new customers and £20m of business in just six weeks.

Letha’s company is fast becoming a leading accountancy firm with a strong local presence. Letha is devoted to creating opportunities for other aspiring accountants from diverse backgrounds by providing apprentices with ICAEW accredited training.
Prior to starting her own practice, Letha held senior executive roles, as senior finance business partner to directors in several FTSE 100 companies, including Severn Trent Water. At npower, Letha was finance transformation lead, helping finance teams develop successful strategies to control costs, and re-define processes.
Letha holds a Practice Certificate from CIMA, has recently joined the Board of Trustees at the Midland Art Centre, and as a long-term user of the MAC, she is passionate about helping ‘grass-roots’ creative organisations to succeed.

Executive Director of Finance | Stockport NHS Foundation TrustIn his current role since 2019, John’s primary responsibilities are to ensure that the Trust has in place financial systems that are fully compliant with statutory instruments and guidelines and ensure the Trust can monitor robustly its financial performance.
He is used to having a wide portfolio of work areas, and has contributed significantly to the success of organisations, ensuring financial sustainability without adversely affecting the quality of services delivered.

John is committed to the personal and professional development of others and himself; having completed a Post Graduate Qualification in Coaching, and chairs a Multi Academy (School) Trust.
Hasmukh Mistry, FCMA, CGMA

Hasmukh was previously finance director for an international group of manufacturing companies in the hydraulics industry.
In past roles he has worked in both large companies such as Rover Group, Dunlop, and GEC, in varying financial and managerial positions.
His depth of experience covers all aspects financial planning, management accounting, also company secretarial/treasury matters. Hasmukh advises on all commercial aspects of companies including leasing, financing, acquisitions, and disposals.
Robert Dickenson, ACMA CGMA
CIMA South West England & South Wales Area Chairman
In addition to being the Area Chairman, Robert represents this CIMA Area on CIMA’s UK & Ireland Network Committee.
He has worked in the charity sector for over 20 years, also in the international development and educational sectors.
Robert is passionate about ESG matters (Environmental, Social and Governance) and recently completed the Fundamentals of ESG online course through AICPA & CIMA. He strongly believes that accountants need to get used to the idea of connecting sustainability information with financial information.
