Here you’ll find details of each award category, and the criteria which nominees will need to meet, to be eligible to enter. Do remember — individuals/teams/projects, can enter/be entered for more than one category.

An individual who has up to five years’ post-qualified experience, and who can give examples of outperforming their peer group, perhaps in terms of creating new initiatives / high achievement in a role, which have made a notable contribution to their organisation; demonstrating their application of skills from the CGMA competency framework.

A C-Suite individual who can demonstrate having made a notable contribution to the leadership of their organisation’s finance function, by providing strategic direction to improve employee performance, thereby driving team spirit, and adding significant value to the business.

A finance team which demonstrates how it has embedded environmental, social, and governance responsibilities into their organisational strategy, to ensure the organisation is contributing to delivering on UNSDG (United Nations sustainable development goals), while continuing to achieve a healthy bottom line.

A project with digital technology and applications at its heart, to improve existing business processes, efficiency, business models or to enhance customer experience. As a direct result, the project will have led to the improvement of the wider business in terms of growth, revenue, or sustainability.

A business that can demonstrate an outstanding initiative, boldness, and imagination, as well as sound management accounting practices, which have resulted in sustainable growth and commercial success. The business may also have had a positive impact on the wider community and local economy, that is exceptional for the size of the company.

A CIMA Student, who can demonstrate outstanding performance. The candidate should be able to give examples of outperforming their peer group and have made a notable contribution to their organisation; demonstrating their application of skills from their CIMA studies.

A mentor who has listened and supported their mentee by sharing their knowledge and expertise to enable the mentee to develop their career and/or skills to new heights. The mentor should have played a significant role in helping the mentee to achieve their goals.
